Michael Luethy has on-the-ground experience in each component of successful campaigns, having served as general consultant, campaign manager, finance director, and political director for campaigns of statewide offices (U.S. Senate, Attorney General), regional representatives (Congress, State Legislature), and local government (City Council, County Council). He’s also served within state government as a legislative aide and as a policy advisor to the Speaker of the House. His experience extends to 29 states through his work for state and national parties.
After stints working for the National Republican Congressional Committee and the North Carolina Republican Party, Luethy worked as Regional Political Director for the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), the largest caucus of Republican state leaders in the country. As a part of the RSLC’s mission to build the next generation of leaders, Luethy advised candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and State Legislature in 26 states, successfully upending Democratic control of 15 legislative chambers (a net gain of 365 seats), 3 Attorneys General, 3 Lieutenant Governors, and 4 Secretaries of State. In addition, he led candidate training schools that equipped candidates with time-tested strategies — and contemporary tactics — in earned media, new media, messaging, grassroots organization, fundraising, and campaign planning.
Despite growing up a Tarheel fan, Luethy graduated with an M.A. from the University of Florida’s Political Campaigning Program and a B.A. in Political Science from Bob Jones University. He resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife and son.
